Underfloor heated eco homes set to be completed

Brand-new eco homes are due for completion at a site in Shropshire later this year. The unique development, located near Shrewsbury, has been designed to offer ‘aspirational living’ to homeowners with properties fitted with a wide range of eco-friendly and luxe features.

The contemporary residences are part of a two-home build situated in the village of Mytton and have been designed by professional architects with sustainable living central to their plans. Beautifully located, the eco homes enjoy rural aspects on all sides and offer unobstructed vistas of local features, The Lawley and the Welsh Hills. To maximise the scenic views, the homes were cleverly designed by the property developers with expansive floor to ceiling windows.

Meticulously designed, the homes at the Severnbanks development have been finished to the highest standards and specification with outstanding green credentials. Solar electric roof panels have been installed on a south-facing installation boasting battery storage for extended use into the evening. There is also an energy-efficient underfloor heating (UFH) system on each of the property’s ground floors powered by a low-carbon air source heat pump with underfloor heating.

To improve the effectiveness of the UFH, walls and windows have been designed with enhanced air tightness. A combination of mineral wool wall insulation and next generation reflective hybrid insulation, along with well-sealed windows help control summer heating, while EV charging points are included for environmentally friendly drivers running electric cars.
